nwt-logoPonca City, Okla. – August, 28 2013 The Future Fisherman Foundation and the Cabela’s National Walleye Tour are teaming up to offer young anglers an opportunity to learn more about the sport of fishing.  The partnership will offer a “Youth Fishing Experience” at the Cabela’s National Walleye Tour Championship in Devils Lake, N.D., on Saturday, September 21.  The experience will highlight the fishing industry and the growing movement of high school fishing clubs across the US.  Continue reading

Stables School Students and Staff Participate in HOFNOD Training

F3 Stables School Pic 2Staff and students at the Central Kentucky Riding for Hope and the Stables School spent the day learning the basics of fishing, conservation, fish biology and life skills at the beautiful surroundings of the legendary Kentucky Horse Park.

With several ponds within walking distance of the school the school provides the perfect setting to incorporate a fishing program with its students.

“This whole process started with a group of college students from Eastern Kentucky University’s Bass Fishing Team wanting to give back and help the students in this school,” stated Mark Gintert the F3 Executive Director.  “They connected Dean of Students Brian McIntyre with me and from there we started to build a program to get the Stables students involved in fishing.
